Yuánfèn (缘分), 2026 | iron meteorite, lilium bud, olive wood, magnet ~20cm  x 3 cm

This piece brings together carved olive wood, a lily bud and a carved meteorite through magnetic attraction. A meteorite fragment from Campo del Cielo, Argentina, shaped as a small hand is suspended from a chain and drawn toward a magnet concealed within the bud, which is renewed daily as the living element of the sculpture.
The title refers to the Chinese concept of yuánfèn (缘分): the affinity or circumstances that bring people together, often understood as a meeting made possible by fate but dependent on what follows from it. Held by an invisible force, the hand remains suspended between attraction and contact.
